Oleg Bezuglov, violin and viola, (ext. 211). Oleg is a graduate of the Rostov State Conservatory (Russia) with a B.M. in violin performance and a M.M. in chamber music performance. He is currently completing a D.M.A. in violin performance at Michigan State University where he studies with Professor Dmitri Berlinsky. He is a core member of several symphony orchestras including Flint, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Midland, Traverse City, West Michigan, and Battle Creek Symphony Orchestras.
In 2002, Mr. Bezuglov founded Class&Jazz Instrumental Duo (www.class-jazz.com) in collaboration with the pianist Natalia Bezuglova. In 2008, this ensemble became the winner of the First Prize and the Special Prize "for the best performance of Shostakovich’s piece" at the D.D. Shostakovich International Competition in Chamber Music (Moscow). Oleg is also a winner of the MSU College of Music Honors Concerto Competition (2013) and a winner of a highly commended award as the finalist of The World Competition in Southbank, VIC, Australia (2013). He has been a recipient of several scholarships including Russian Performing Art Foundation (Moscow 2008), Alexander Glazunov’s Foundation (Munich 2009), Johannes Brahms's Society (Portschach 2009), as well as Johnson Coleman and Spenser & Eleanor Maurer Foundations (Lansing, 2010). Oleg performed in various groups and as a soloist in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Poland, United States, and Russia.
