Bluegrass Workshop

High School - Adult

The beginning Bluegrass Ensemble is an acoustic music ensemble that focuses on bluegrass vocal harmony, rhythm and lead playing in an informal group setting without an audition. To participate, students must play a bluegrass-specific instrument such as acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle (violin), dobro, upright bass, and percussion. The songs and instruments are taught by ear and with chord charts. The class works together on traditional and contemporary bluegrass repertoire and offers a unique opportunity to learn and perform bluegrass music in a fun and casual setting.
