Kasie Johnson

Kasie Johnson, Mezzo Soprano, earned a Bachelor in Music Education degree from Central Michigan University in 2008. During her undergraduate studies, she toured Ireland and France with the CMU Chamber Singers, was awarded the prestigious R. Cedric Colness Vocal Competition Scholarship, and was a member of the women's a cappella group, On the Rox. Upon graduation, Kasie served as the Choral Director at Mt. Morris Junior High and High School, and has also taught general music at the elementary level. She studied voice privately at both Central Michigan University and the Flint School of Performing Arts. Kasie's performance credits include Orlofksy in Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Handel's Messiah, excerpts from Carmen, as well as numerous lead roles in community musical theatre productions, including Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Kasie is currently the Director of Music at First Congregational UCC- Grand Blanc and has performed and conducted a large repertoire of praise and worship music. She also holds a Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University and is employed as a school social worker.
