(ext. 230). Cellist Yuliya Kim hails from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Before continuing her studies in the United States, Mrs. Kim held Section Cello positions with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan as well as the State Opera Studio. She earned a Professional Performance Certificate and Master of Music degree from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL in 2013 and 2015 respectively, studying with David Cole. While a student at Lynn University she formed the Tashkent Piano Trio which performed concerts in Florida and New York City, as well as a special diplomatic concert at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, DC in 2014. She is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student at Michigan State University where she studies cello with Suren Bagratuni.
